Earth 2 Pre-Alpha Update 0.1.4.1
Nov 22, 2025 – Sydney, Australia – Since the release of Reality Thread 4, our dedicated Pre-Alpha testers have played an essential role in helping us identify and refine several key areas of the Character Location and Multiplayer Systems. This is exactly what the Pre-Alpha phase is designed for, so we appreciate the assistance from our tester community to give our dev team additional data to help test and resolve any issues with a number of the complex systems inside E2V1. Our development team has been diligently implementing fixes for the new issues discovered, focusing on stability, synchronisation and accuracy across multiplayer sessions.
The 0.1.4.1 Update represents an important technical iteration, concentrating on further improvements to location accuracy, syncing performance and Mentar interactions. While this update has taken a few weeks from part of our development team, it’s time well spent as the refinements made are central to achieving smoother, more consistent experiences for all testers and will form part of the foundation for future E2V1 releases.
Key Updates in Version 0.1.4.1

Further Improvements to the Location and Multiplayer Systems
This update introduces further improvements to the calibration of the location system within multiplayer environments. It should also resolve instances where Mentars or Characters would occasionally appear elevated in the sky due to positional desyncs, ensuring more accurate rendering and placement of in-world entities.
Enhanced Multiplayer Character Syncing Over Long Distances
This may not have been noticeable to testers, but our team has picked up some critical issues when Characters travel very long distances inside E2V1 together resulting it Characters suddenly disappearing in view from one another.
In this update, Characters engaging across wide map areas spanning tens or hundreds of kilometers should notice more consistent character positioning and smoother transitions. Long-distance syncing has been optimised to improve interactions that travel long distances inside multiplayer sessions.
Reduced Occurrences of “Yeeting”
Another major improvement has been implemented in the Character Terrain system to address the random phenomenon of Characters being “yeeted” or displaced unexpectedly. This issue is incredibly hard to catch and required updates in multiple facets of E2V1. The fix in 0.1.4.1 should greatly stabilise movement and physics behaviour when navigating across the terrain.
Improved Mentar Spawning Functionality
We identified that a number testers were experiencing difficulty spawning Mentars on their properties. Update 0.1.4.1 introduces a fix that increases reliability in Mentar placement and should significantly reduce failed spawn attempts. There may still be cases of Mentar spawn issues so our team will continue to monitor and improve.
Looking Ahead
As with all Pre-Alpha builds, we will continue to monitor the release closely and apply iterations to any new issues that arise. Continuous improvement remains at the heart of our development process and the feedback from our tester community continues to be invaluable in shaping these updates.
Version 0.1.4.1 will also include a few features originally scheduled for Reality Thread 5. Some of these features will be immediately noticeable, while others may be less obvious though still discoverable. All of these features, along with the fixes outlined above, will be officially detailed in the upcoming Reality Thread 5 update article.
We’re hopeful that the rollout will proceed smoothly, but as with any Pre-Alpha deployment, unexpected issues may arise. If you encounter any, please allow our team space and time to investigate and resolve them. Your patience and understanding play a vital role in helping us refine these systems and move ever closer to a stable, fully interconnected Earth 2 experience.
Once Version 0.1.4.1 reaches a stable state, we plan to activate access for the final group of testers still awaiting entry into the Pre-Alpha. The additional time required to address these complex systems has resulted in a slight delay to Reality Thread 5, but rest assured that our team is working diligently to ensure its release as soon as possible.
Each E2V1 update brings us one step closer to a more seamless and immersive global multiplayer environment inside E2V1. Thank you to all testers who continue to support this phase and contribute to the ongoing evolution of Earth 2.
