July 27, 2025 – Sydney, Australia – Over the past 5 days, our development team has been hard at work identifying, fixing and improving various systems inside the E2V1 Pre-Alpha.

The most significant of these updates is an improvement to the global collision system, aimed at improving the Character movement experience for Players. In addition to this update, a number of other fixes and refinements have been implemented to address some bugs, enhance feedback and streamline interactions across various game systems.

Below is a full list of the Reality Thread 2 updates:

  1. A core update to the collision system now excludes small vegetation such as bushes and minor trees, allowing for smoother and less obstructed movement across natural terrain.

The updated system now differentiates larger trees by preserving their collision properties and importantly maintains the detection of small vegetation so they will still be searchable, even though Players can now run through them with their Characters.

This update has been applied on a global scale and should take effect in all regions across the entire Earth.

  2. Updated detection logic has been introduced to identify when a Character is at risk of breaking through the terrain or being forcibly displaced (“yeeted”). A new pop-up warning now allows the Player to cancel the action before it proceeds, particularly in cases where the detection may be a false positive. It is not a final fix but is part of an ongoing series of updates we believe need to be made over time to improve terrain stability and will be monitored for effectiveness.

  3. A fix has been applied to resolve the issue where Characters could run underwater. This should address the unintended behaviour, with monitoring to continue from the team post-update.

  4. The vitals UI has been enhanced to include a glow effect when stamina, hunger or health is fully depleted or nearing depletion, providing clearer visual feedback to the Player.

As previously outlined in official articles, continuing intense stamina-based actions after depletion will consume health and can result in death.

  5. An update to the Character saving process ensuring the Mentar remains in a summoned state after the Character is saved. The team has further fixes planned for this issue which will be part of the next update.

  6. The stamina boost provided by drinking water has been increased from +20 to +50, making hydration more beneficial during gameplay.

We remind Players again that we are very aware that water is important inside E2V1, we mentioned this from the beginning. Over time new options will be introduced to manage water including new water sources.

  7. Cosmetic skin selection has been temporarily disabled in anticipation for the crafting system, which is planned to follow once the current build stabilises.

  8. Players can now view boost and effect information by hovering the mouse over discovered items directly within the Discovery Box, removing the need to move items to the Inventory for inspection.

  9. A bug has been fixed where visual effects associated with near-death states continued to play if the Character was saved just before dying.

  10. A glitch that caused female Characters to appear unclothed for a very brief moment upon spawning has been resolved.

  11. Update to the Character Management interface now clarify that Players must first synthesise and save a Character before it will appear in the Character list.

  12. Update to ensure that after Character death, the body will remain visible in the camera view until the Player chooses to revive or abandon.

  13. The default third-person camera distance from Character has been slightly increased to improve visibility. Remember, Players can still manually adjust the distance using the mouse scroll.

  14. Various minor wording and UI text adjustments have been implemented for improved clarity and consistency.

We will continue to monitor performance, stability and community feedback from testers as we move toward the next Reality Threads and subsequent feature releases. Our short-term focus remains on refinement and polish to ensure a more consistent experience before the next feature set is released.

Thank you for your ongoing support and participation during this development period!
