Earth 2 $ESS Update Report: (April-June 2025, July-September 2025)

Oct 31, 2025 – Sydney, Australia – Earth 2 is pleased to share the $ESS Statistics report from April 2025 through to September 2025. This update includes key details of $ESS metrics throughout the mentioned period, including a detailed explanation of each category below. Please note that this is a double quarter report, while the previous report released was comprised of 3 quarters.

For the period from the 1st of April, 2025 to the 30th of June, 2025 (inclusive), and 1st of July to the 30th of September (inclusive), the $ESS figures are as follows: 

Below you will find further details of the statistics provided above including brief descriptions of each utility category.

LAND UPGRADE

When Land is Upgraded on Earth 2, 50% of the $ESS used is assigned to the Treasury and 50% of the $ESS is burned forever. During this period, we saw a total of 1,538,997 $ESS (Q3) and 1,601,492 $ESS (Q3) utilised for Land Upgrades inside Earth 2.

CYDROID BUILD

When Cydroids are constructed on Earth 2, 100% of the $ESS used is assigned to the Treasury. During this period we saw 169,336 $ESS (Q2) and 156,561 $ESS (Q3) utilised for building Cydroids. There is a total cap of 5,000,000 for First Generation Cydroids, with the current supply being over 58% of the cap.

COSMETIC SKINS (ESS)

When cosmetic skins are sold for $ESS by Earth 2, 100% of the proceeds are allocated to the Treasury. During Q2 and Q3, Earth 2 intentionally reduced the frequency of new skin releases, choosing to pace cosmetic drops in a way that remained consistent with overall development progress and feature availability. This measured approach ensured that Players received meaningful and well-timed content aligned with the evolving state of E2V1.

As a result, a total of 1,266,000 $ESS (Q2) and 179,000 $ESS (Q3) was spent on a small number of limited-edition skins during these periods. It is also important to note that $ESS-based skins released to date have been offered at a significantly discounted rate – a temporary measure that will conclude in the near future, after which future skin releases will transition to full-rate $ESS pricing, reflecting both product maturity and continued ecosystem growth.

JEWEL CRAFTING

As mentioned in previous reports, Earth 2 has decided that instead of the Jewel Crafting $ESS being assigned to Treasury, when Jewels are crafted on Earth 2 using Essence, 100% of the $ESS will be burned forever.

During this period we saw 1,174,446 $ESS (Q2) and 965,632 $ESS (Q3) utilised for Jewel Crafting.

LAND PURCHASES

Along with the ability to generate a discount for land purchases using $ESS, Players with more than 30,000 ESS staked in the Mentar Staking feature are able to use $ESS for new property purchases. 100% of the $ESS used to purchase new land is allocated to the Earth 2 Treasury.

During this period, 2,757,068 $ESS (Q2) and 3,533,527 $ESS (Q3) was utilised for new land purchases reflecting a strong utility for $ESS on the Earth 2 platform.

Similar to Land Upgrades, enabling Land purchases with $ESS was introduced to expand the token’s practical utility. This initiative represented a deliberate decision to forgo one of Earth 2’s primary revenue streams – direct land sales – in order to strengthen the demand for $ESS and reduce sale volumes.

The fact that over 6 million $ESS was spent on land during a relatively quiet period underscores the effectiveness of this strategic sacrifice.

ESSENCE DISCOUNT SPINNER 

This year, Earth 2 introduced the Essence Discount Spinner, allowing eligible Players who had sufficiently staked Essence into their Mentars to spend $ESS in exchange for a randomly generated land discount across selected Territories, at a rate of 0.05 $ESS per tile per spin.

Importantly, 100% of the $ESS used to activate the Spinner is permanently burned, directly reducing total token supply. During this period, the feature saw strong participation, with 266,970 $ESS burned in Q2 and 328,498 $ESS burned in Q3.

This initiative reflected a deliberate decision by Earth 2 to sacrifice potential land sale revenue in favour of strengthening the utility and deflationary mechanics of $ESS.

By driving player engagement, facilitating discounted land access and permanently removing nearly 600,000 $ESS from circulation within two quarters, the Essence Discount Spinner successfully advanced multiple core goals- expanding utility, increasing token demand and supporting the long-term health of the Earth 2 economy.

CHARACTER SYNTHESIS

While the Character Synthesis system was not publicly available in Q2, Earth 2’s QA team actively conducted internal testing throughout this period in preparation for its upcoming launch. During these controlled internal tests, a total of 211 $ESS was utilised as part of our testing and QA process.

Following its introduction to the small Earth 2 Pre-Alpha testing group in Q3, player participation increased, with testers synthesising their own Characters inside E2V1 and collectively using 6,003 $ESS during this phase.

It is important to note that we designed and implemented this system to automatically convert E-ther used for Character Synthesis into $ESS to be flagged for burn.

At present, 100% of the Essence used for Character Synthesis is permanently burned, reinforcing the token’s deflationary nature. However, this will evolve in future iterations, where part or all of the Character Synthesis E-ther will have the potential to circulate within the ecosystem. Examples of the circulation would be the potential to be earned by other Players through gameplay inside E2V1 or distributed to landowners based on whether the gameplay took place on their land or in the region or county where they own their land.

There will be a variety of scenarios in which ecosystem recirculation will occur and further details on these mechanisms will be shared in upcoming updates.

MINED ESSENCE

Mined Essence comprises all Essence obtained through E-ther to Essence transformations with 100% of this amount being minted as part of the 1 billion max token supply. These totals include E-ther mined from land, raided, attracted by T3, lured by Mentar staking and so forth.

It is important to note that these totals do not include E-ther which is being stored and not yet transformed.  During this period, a total of 21,493,716 $ESS (Q2) and 19,936,491 $ESS (Q3) was transformed (mined). 

REWARDED ESSENCE

Earth 2 provides Players with various opportunities to receive Essence Rewards. During this period, 154,447 $ESS (Q2) and 25,242 $ESS (Q3) was rewarded to Players via systems such as the Player Resource Validation system and other RBA initiatives.

DEPOSITS

Players have the option to transfer $ESS from their personal wallets to the main wallet to automatically credit their Earth 2 account with the deposited $ESS. To do this, Players need to have first connected the wallet they transfer from to their Earth 2 account for the credit to be automated. 

Deposit figures are made up of any $ESS that has been transferred from Player wallets back into the Earth 2 platform. During this period a total of 11,162,795 $ESS (Q2) and 8,269,674 $ESS (Q3) was deposited from external wallets back into the Earth 2 platform.

WITHDRAWALS

Players are able to withdraw $ESS from their Earth 2 accounts on the Earth 2 Platform into a Web3 wallet in order to store or trade it outside of the Earth 2 platform. There are no restrictions on how much $ESS a Player can withdraw so long as they legitimately have the $ESS balance available on their account.

During this period 16,994,573 $ESS (Q2) and 15,996,579 $ESS (Q3) was withdrawn from the Earth 2 platform into external Web3 wallets.

TRIAL SYSTEM CONVERSIONS

In August 2024, Earth 2 launched a Trial Withdrawal System for Players so as to ensure E$ withdrawals would continue being processed. Once the Player has converted their E$ withdrawal to $ESS it is optional for them to withdraw their $ESS out of the platform. This also gives Players to keep their $ESS on the platform to use it in various utility cases such as Mentar staking.

During this period, a total of 8,832,245 $ESS (Q2) and 5,172,311 $ESS (Q3) was converted by Players as part of the Trial Withdrawal System. This figure is the total $ESS that was converted from E$ and credited to Players accounts and it is important to note the figure is before any optional $ESS withdrawal from the E2 platform took place. This amount is 100% covered by $ESS tokens already in the Earth 2 Treasury wallet, not newly minted, and will be transferred from the Treasury wallet to the Main wallet accordingly.

TREASURY

Players are able to use $ESS as a utility token inside of Earth 2. Some of these use cases such as Land Upgrades, Cosmetic $ESS Skin purchases, Cydroid building, and so forth, result in the $ESS being assigned to the Treasury, as detailed both above and in the White Paper.

During this period, a total of 4,961,903 $ESS (Q2) and 4,669,834 $ESS (Q3) has been flagged for the Treasury.

Additionally, and as stated in the White Paper, there is a symbiotic relationship between mined $ESS and $ESS unlocked to the treasury for development, supporting the project, marketing and promotion, costs and other needs. For every 3 mined Essence, 1 new token is minted and unlocked for the Earth 2 Treasury which is in line with the 25% flagged for the Treasury.

For this period, 21,493,716 $ESS (Q2) and 19,936,491 $ESS (Q3) was mined, resulting in a total of 7,164,572 $ESS (Q2) and 6,645,497 $ESS (Q3) flagged to be unlocked for the Treasury. These unlocked tokens will first be minted in the Main Wallet before being transferred to the Treasury.

This results in a total of 12,126,475 $ESS (Q2) and 11,315,331 $ESS (Q3) being earned by the Treasury and allocated for transfer from the Main Wallet to the Treasury. 


BURN

In certain utility cases on Earth 2, $ESS is permanently burned. Some of these use cases include Land Upgrades (50% burn), Jewel Crafting, the ESS Discount Spinner, Character Synthesis and more to be introduced throughout 2025. 

During this period, a total of 2,211,125 $ESS (Q2) and 2,100,879 $ESS (Q3) was flagged to be burned.

FINAL FIGURES 

As a summary and for your convenience, the below are figures you will see minted, transferred or burned on the Ethereum Blockchain via our smart contract. In addition to the details provided earlier in this report, we have provided a brief description below highlighting the purpose behind each action.

21,648,163 (Q2) + 19,961,733 (Q3) $ESS tokens minted which represent new Essence mined or earned by Players inside Earth 2.

7,164,572 (Q2) + 6,645,497 (Q3) $ESS, minted and unlocked in preparation for transfer to the Earth 2 Treasury in line with the Symbiotic Relationship detailed in the White Paper. These tokens are directly associated with and assigned to the 25% Treasury allocation in the White Paper and will be transferred to the Earth 2 Treasury after being minted by the Main Wallet.

2,211,125 (Q2) + 2,100,879 (Q3) $ESS total burned from Essence flagged to be burned during the period.

8,832,245 (Q2) + 5,172,311 (Q3) $ESS transferred from the Earth 2 Treasury to the Main Wallet for Essence used for the Withdrawal Trial System. This transfer to take place before the transfer of newly minted tokens takes place.

4,961,903 (Q2) + 4,669,834 (Q3) $ESS transferred from the Main Wallet to the Earth 2 Treasury for feature or product revenue already generated by Earth 2 on the platform such as skin sales, land upgrades and other items already covered above in this report. This transfer to take place before the transfer of newly minted tokens takes place.

Closing Thoughts and Important Details about the First Halving Event

As of October 1, 2025 with the newly minted $ESS tokens included in this update, Earth 2 has surpassed 477,000,000 minted tokens. This figure brings us less than 23,000,000 tokens away as of October 1, 2025, from the first Essence halving event.

While the exact timing of the halving event cannot be predicted as it depends on the total volume of E-ther transformed into Essence by Players, current projections indicate it is likely to occur in Q4 2025 or early Q1 2026. The halving will not be accompanied by a formal announcement; instead, it will be automatically executed by Earth 2’s systems based on verified internal data once the required threshold is reached.

We remind Earth 2 Players of the upcoming change to a key rule in the Earth 2 White Paper. Once the halving event is initiated, the E-ther spawn rate will no longer be halved. Instead, the E-ther to Essence transformation rate will be halved. While the result remains the same, this adjustment represents a shift in methodology, and we wanted to provide Players with ample notice before the change is in effect.

Any E-ther not transformed before the halving event is activated will be subject to the lower transformation rate percentage activated when the halving event occurs.
